Eligibility:
Open to container gardening enthusiasts, not including staff or family members of Sun Harvest Greenhouses.

You picked the pot, planted your arrangement and watered and fertilized your container all summer long.. Now is the time to show it off. Send us your photos by either dropping them off at the greenhouse or email them to info@sunharvest .ca.

New at Sun Harvest

We are in the middle of our Sweet Corn season, fall raspberries will be starting the middle of August.

Sun Harvest Greenhouses prides itself on growing what we sell and starting in early April you can visit our store and purchase a taste that many do not recognize until summer... Four Varieties of Fresh juicy tomatoes, English seedless cucumbers, and a delightful butterhead lettuce. Customers not only enjoy the benefit of having a product that is just picked, but it is also pesticide free. The experience of knowing exactly where your food comes from is what makes a trip to Sun Harvest Greenhouses so worthwhile. We also market our tomatoes to local independent grocery stores in the Kingston area, if you cannot make it to our store.

Tomatoes are Ready!

Salads are in season again and after a long winter they never tasted so good!
Early spring flowers are blooming! Pansies, viola, primula and so many of these cold tolerant colourful annuals are ready to adorn your home with that first touch of spring, Join us for “What’s New for Spring” weekend at the greenhouse, May 1st and 2nd where you can get the first look at the hot new plants for spring!

July arrives and so does our crop of raspberries (pick your own and pre picked) along with a feast of other in season produce from the fields. Beans, carrots, kale, swiss chard, new potatoes, garlic, melons and of course sweet corn all becomes available making Sun Harvest Greenhouses a one-stop shopping destination for produce all grown here on the farm!

Red, gold, bronze, it is time to freshen your outdoor décor.
Fall mums, kale, pansies, perennials, grasses are all available to spruce up your containers for fall or select from our beautifully designed potted arrangements. Pumpkins, gourds, and of course autumn vegetables such as squash, and the last of our sweet corn and garlic are all available at the greenhouse. Do not forget to inquire about our perfect tomatoes available for canning / saucing usually in September and October.

We sell fresh cut premium Balsam and Fraser fir Christmas trees, and display them inside so you do not have to brave the elements when selecting the perfect tree.

We sell a great selection of natural Christmas décor all designed and made here using the bounty of nature. Festive urn arrangements, wreaths, hanging baskets, window boxes, mantelpiece and centrepiece arrangements are displayed throughout the greenhouse. Take them home to create a Christmas welcome to guests and family for the holidays, or use them as inspiration to create your own. Our popular workshops lead by our seasonal designer Wendy Ball, are becoming a Christmas tradition, so sign up early to avoid disappointment.
